I remember an incidence from the life of Jesus.One day he saw some pigeons captured in cages. Those were kept there for sale.People were buying them for sacrifice to God.Jesus felt sorry about the pigeons, he somehow made them free.Jesus has sympathy with every creature.
The holy Quraan supports non-violence. Unless and until there is no other alternative,one should not hurt any creature.Take care of yourself to be on right path, Allah will take care of others.Allah is merciful and forgiving.
In Shrimadbhagavadgita it is stated that the torture to any creature is torture to Bhagavaan.
