Thine is the throne, oh Rama,
and the tears are mine.
Since thou went away from home,
my life is hardship till thou come.
People falsely call me as emporer,
I know the fact that thou rule everywhere.
It is my heart not the throne,
with thy sacred sandals ruling upon.
Oh Lord Rama, I am weeping for thee;
brother, I am offender, kindly forgive me.
I am thy slave, oh Rama, always at thy service,
my life has meaning while working for thy wish.
Oh loving Rama, quench my thirsty heart;
from thee, oh my dear, I can no longer live apart.
